NO "N"-BOMBS!: A CAMPAIGN TO ADDRESS AND ELIMINATE USE OF THE RACIALLY DIVISIVE & CULTURALLY DESTRUCTIVE "N-WORD".

OAKLAND, CA [August 28, 2013] - NO "N"-BOMBS!, the ambitious - and timely - culture-shifting endeavor, being undertaken by the Oakland, CA based production company, Imajen, on the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, and Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech. NO “N”- BOMBS! is a campaign which places America’s cultural double standard surrounding the utilization of the term "nigger"; commonly referred to as the "n-word", squarely in its sights.

At the cutting edge of the NO "N"-BOMBS! movement is a groundbreaking series of social awareness video vignettes, which, along with conventional and social media, are part of a larger re-education effort. The end game of the campaign, is to inspire and support a cultural move away from a destructive and divisive term that continues to disrupt racial reconciliation and forward progress.

“Fifty years ago, Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his iconic ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, calling for racial justice and equality. Today, we have a culture wherein African Americans freely use a derogatory and historically despicable term, whenever and wherever they want. Yet if a white person uses the same term once publicly, regardless of cause or context, he or she risks losing everything; livelihood, credibility, reputation. Is that fairness? Is that the justice and equality that Martin Luther King dreamed of?”

“Martin Luther King once said that ‘to passively accept an unjust system is to cooperate with that system, and thereby to become a participant in its evil.’ So for African Americans to emerge from one form of injustice only to subsequently institute one of our own, is not something he would agree with." said Cailloux Williams, Creator and Co-founder of NO "N"-BOMBS!

Bryan J. Brumfield, Co-founder of NO "N"-BOMBS! said, "The NO "N"-BOMBS! campaign is a labor of love and necessity, though it will likely offer invitation for criticism. We are fully aware that although this effort is long overdue, there will be those within our community that will not receive this with open arms."

"Nevertheless, we are encouraged by the knowledge there are millions of people from all walks of life that feel just as strongly about this issue as we do, and we openly invite and encourage them all to join us.
Please visit the website, and look for us on Indiegogo.com to show your support for this much needed change."

About NO "N"-BOMBS!

Conceived by Cailloux Williams in association with Bryan J. Brumfield, the NO "N"-BOMBS! movement was created to address the perpetually troublesome and increasingly incendiary issue surrounding the excessive use of the "N"-Bomb in and around African American and popular culture. Through their insightful and strategically provocative social awareness campaign, Imajen seeks to shift public consciousness and behaviors with regard to this controversial and divisive social dilemma. The ultimate goal is to reshape and redirect the prevailing opinions on use of the "N"-Bomb to the point where its use is shunned and discontinued by all.
